OOo to OSIS XSLT

Has anyone created an XSLT to convert OpenOffice.org documents to OSIS?
Using custom styles to mark up the text, an XSLT can be integrated into
Openoffice.org to transform the document. Once set up, the user would
simply "Save as OSIS."
Its been done for DocBook.

Hello Don,
It sounds like a very good idea to provide "Save as
OSIS" functionality in OpenOffice. This would be a
good alternative to the Microsoft Word 2003 OSIS
plug-in for those who do not have Microsoft Office
2003. Would such an XSLT file be included in the
OpenOffice distribution itself? In this case,
OpenOffice would be OSIS-able by default in the
standard distribution. Is the "Save as DocBook"
functionality part of the standard OpenOffice
distribution or is it a seperate plug-in?
Thanks,
Mete

Mete and Don,
I suspect that you could use OpenOffice for OSIS documents that do not
have overlapping markup (no milestone elements) without adding
additional behavior to OpenOffice itself but for scripture text (Bibles)
you will run into some complications.
For simpler texts like sermons, most commentaries, etc..., I would think
that this would work.

I anticipate being able to convert from Translation Editor (Essentially a
flat Word like structure... but it does know about divs) to OSIS via XSLT.
There are over 100 defined styles that will allow for the conversion to
happen. We are waiting on approval for the style names before releasing
them. Todd and Patrick have access to the styles and examples for comment.
Oct 15 was our assigned target date. We are waiting on approvals now.
